ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SUNDAY, Jan 19
Elder Meeting: Sunday, January 19 at 3:00 pm.
Youth Choir Chimers: today at 4:00 pm. If there are any other youth, 2nd graders through 6th graders, interested in playing, please come today.
Adult Handbell Rehearsal: Today at 5:00 pm.
Evening Gathering: Meet 6:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room.
THIS WEEK, Jan 20-Jan 24
Church Office: Monday, January 20th the church office will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Deacon Meeting: Monday, January at 6:30 pm.
Board Meeting: Monday, January at 7:00 pm.
Wednesday Night Meal:  Menu-pork loin, veggies, salad, dessert at 5:30-6:30 pm.  Please sign-up on See Connection Card or website.
All Youth Meetings:  Wednesday, 7:00 pm-see youth section for classes.

Choir practice this Wednesday 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the main auditorium.  Easter music books and cd’s will be distributed as well as the Winter and Spring practice schedule.”
Anyone interested in joining the choir is encouraged to attend.  See Dan for more details.

Mission for the Homeless: Thursday, Jan 23 at 1:00 pm everyone is invited to help make mats for the homeless. We need volunteers to help cut the bags    into strips and make yarn. We encourage anyone to join us and experience the fellowship along with the blessing it has been to be part of this wonderful group.
First Aid Meeting: Thursday, January 23 at 6:00 pm. Scott Robertson will have a meeting for the First Aid Team in the mid-pointe room. Please contact Scott Robertson at scott.robertson72@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Movie Night: You’re invited to a movie night! Saturday, February 1 in the Multi-Purpose Room at 6:00 pm.  Join us for popcorn, drinks, and the showing of “Overcomer.”
Jersey Sunday: Sunday, February 2 everyone is welcome to wear your favorite sport team jersey or shirt.
Night to Shine: Friday, February 7, 2020 at New College Institute. We need lots of volunteers for this church wide event. Sign-up sheet on bulletin board or register online at www.stonemcc.com, or through the SMCC app.

New Small Group: Don’t forget about the new small group meeting at 9:00 am in the Multi-purpose Room (Old Auditorium). Anyone who is currently not in an Sunday School small group and would like to join us is welcome. The title of the study is ” This Is The Day” and Tim Tebow shares stories from his life to illustrate what it means to seize each day for God’s glory. He challenges us to step out in courage because this is the day     to act.
Financial Peace University Class: Do you want to be financially stable? Planning for the future is hard when your still paying for the past. Join the Financial Peace University Class where you will learn how to beat debt and make plans for the future. The PCU class starts tonight  at 6:00 pm. Cost for members is $65.00 and non-members can sign up for $129.99. Contact Shane and Paula Wood, or Tim Wood for more information.

Birth Announcements: Congratulations to Chris and Brittany Dillon on the arrival of Mary Carson Dillon weighing 8lbs 2oz and 20 inches long on Dec 15, 2019. Congratulations to Justin and Jessica Hylton on the arrival of Piper Ryan Hylton weighing 8lbs 10oz and 20½ inches long on Jan 1, 2020.
New Member: Please welcome Pam Hall! She placed her membership at SMCC(2660 Riverside Drive Bassett, VA 24055).
Death: Janice Bristol passed away Tuesday, January 7th. Heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family.

Worship at Dippers

Worship at Dippers in Ridgeway:

Wednesday, July 19—everything will be cancelled at the church building (youth included) & we will all meet at Dippers at 7:00 pm.

If you want to ride the church van, it will leave from church at 6:40 & return back to church after 8:00.

Come enjoy some fun, fellowship, music and ICE CREAM!

10,000 Reasons

We are all familiar with the song, “10,000 Reasons” and a line in verse 2 goes like this…”10,000 Reasons for my heart to find…” I think this line could have a deeper meaning to each of us…

The American Heart Association recommends we take 10,000 steps each day to get and keep our hearts in shape. Why not begin by setting aside one day and build from there? We kicked it off tonight and next Tuesday, June 27 we will begin meeting weekly at Dick and Willies’s trail at 7 pm to encourage one another as we begin this journey together. We will also have a time of devotion and prayer and who knows we may even break into an evening of worship… 

Invite a friend and be a part of this “10,000 Reasons” group.
