ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SUNDAY, Dec 8
Children’s Christmas Program: This morning at 10:30 am. Join us as our Youth Ministry presents the “Jesus Family Tree”.
Evening Gathering: Meet 6:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room.
Adult Handbell Rehearsal: Today at 4:00 pm.
Choir Practice: Today at 5:00 pm.

Adult Mid-Week Gathering:  Wednesday, 7:00 pm in the Multi-purpose Room
Silver Stone Seniors: Thursday, December 12 – meet at 11:30 am at the church and leave for lunch at Clarence’s. Bring $5 gift suitable for a man or  women to exchange. See sign-up sheet on bulletin board.
Mission for the Homeless: Thursday, Dec 12 at 1:00 pm everyone is invited to help make mats for the homeless with the bags that have been collected. We encourage anyone to come and help cut the bags into strips or crochet the bags into mats. This is very simple to do and a great time of fellowship.

Grace Network Donation: Apple Sauce (12-15oz.)  For Oct-Dec
Christmas Cards: If you would like to give Christmas cards to your church family, the boxes will be located in the Breezeway beginning in December. Karren Meeks will be overseeing the cards this year. Please see Karren if you have any questions.
SMCC Cookbooks: The SMCC cookbooks are here! The cookbooks will be available to purchase for $10.00 per book. You can get your copy in the breezeway or in the main entrance of the main auditorium. If you have any questions see or contact Laury WeHunt.
YOUTH EVENTS
Youth Gingerbread Christmas Party: Wednesday, December 11  at 5:00-7:00 pm. See    Bobby for more details.
Family Sunday Lock-In: December 29, for preschool and grades K-5.  There will be two times for this event. The preschoolers will be able to come from 7-11 pm and K-5 will be able to come from 7pm-7 am. You must sign up by December 22 to be able to attend the lock-in. Sign-up sheet on youth bulletin board.
NYEELO: December 30-31, for middle and high school youth only. This (New Year’s Eve Eve Lock-Out) event will be at Camp Lee Ford. Plan to leave the church at 12:00          pm. Sign-up sheet on youth bulletin board.
TCTC (Wilderness): January 10 – 12, 2020. This event is for  8 – 12 graders only. Leaving from Bassett High School at lunchtime. More information and sign-up sheet on Youth Bulletin Board.
Virginia Preteen Convention: March 6-7 at Fairmount Christian Church in Mechanicsville, VA. Early bird registration is $54.00 which includes lunch for Saturday, the event, and lodging for Friday night. See Bobby Paulk for more details.

Stone’s Christmas Café: Wednesday, December 4 from 5-7 pm. SMCC will be hosting a drive-thru hot beverage bar. We need help in all areas. Please sign up to be a part of this community outreach event and spread Christmas cheer! Signup sheet on bulletin board.
Joy Circle Brunch: Thursday, December 5 at 11:00 am.

Note To Church Members: There are old directories and 50 year anniversary booklets that members are welcome to take. These items are placed at each entrance going into the main auditorium. The quantities are limited. If you are interested be sure to pick up a booklet or directory while the supplies last. There will be no more once they are gone.

Thank You Note: Many thanks to Dan Calloway and Brittaney Brown for coordinating & overseeing Operation Christmas Child and to all who participated in the shoe box collection. There was a total of 2,221 boxes collected from our area and of those 273 boxes came from SMCC!
