LoveLikeLily Day: Today we will celebrate Lily Belle Patterson’s life. LoveLikeLily shirts will be available for $7 a piece. Please see Pam Mabry if you would like a shirt. A love offering will be taken in loving memory of Lily for the Tackfully Teamed Riding Academy. 

Connection Card: Please utilize the connection card. Fill out the connection card through the SMCC app or fill out the card attached to this bulletin if you have any prayer requests, change in your information, and concerns. This is also a record of attendance.

Mid-Week Gathering Note: The Wednesday night gathering will be in the Main Auditorium at 7:00 pm. 

National Night Out: Tuesday, Oct 6th from 4—8 p.m. here at SMCC. Come out and support our fellow police officers, first responders (EMS), and fire fighters! SMCC is excited to show compassion, love and support for our hometown heroes! Anyone available to serve and volunteer please come and help. Lets show our community how to love like Jesus!

Grace Network Pumpkin Patch: SMCC has been assigned to work the Pumpkin Patch on Monday, October 8 from 1:00—4:00 pm. Sign- up sheet is located on church bulletin board.

LoveLikeLily Blood Drive: Friday, October 9 a blood drive will be here at SMCC in the Mid-Pointe room from 12:00—5:00 p.m. You can make an appointment by visiting


Homecoming: Sunday, Oct 18 SMCC homecoming will be at Jack Dalton Park. Several churches will be attending with us to fellowship and worship. Bring a chair and lunch will be served. A special guest, JD Clark will be sharing his amazing story of overcoming a tragedy, and how love and forgiveness comes from our Father in heaven. We are also asking for everyone who comes to bring a canned food item to help Grace Network. 

Creeper Trail: White Top Mountain to Damascus, VA— Saturday October 17th. The cost is $32 and includes your bicycle rental and shuttle service. We will meet at SMCC at 7 am and stop for a fast—food breakfast. Wear comfortable clothing and good shoes. Open to anyone 14 years old and without a guardian or younger with a guardian. Family Fall Festival: Everyone mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24 for this SMCC family event! We are asking to anyone to please bring candy donations for this event. You can drop your candy donations in the bucket located in the midpoint room. More information coming soon for this event!

Wedding Shower: Jarred Marlowe and Meghan Martin will have a drive thru wedding shower on Saturday, November 7th from 10am—12 noon at the church. Lowes & Amazon gift cards or cash would be appreciated. The couple plan to marry in November. 


Grace Network Donation: Canned Bean or Peas (15 oz) For Oct—Dec

Operation Christmas Child: We will be collecting again this year for Operation Christmas Child. The items will be the same as in years past. Start stocking up now on school supplies and other supplies. More info coming soon!


Attention All Parents: GET READY! It’s time for your children to get connected again! KIDS BLAST for grades K—5. No matter rain or shine Kids Blast will be held! Pam is excited about teaching and equipping your children to believe, learn, and serve together as a family! The guidelines will be followed to protect your children.

Family Fall Festival: Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24! This event will be for everyone!!! Children are welcome to come dressed in there costume and get ready for some fun! More information coming soon for this event!
